The Hall

STOP PRESS: FUNDING AWARDED TO PURCHASE HALL

The trustees and members of Earlsferry Town Hall Ltd are delighted to receive the funding support from the Scottish Land Fund to complete the Community Asset Transfer, from Fife Council, of Earlsferry Town Hall into the ownership of the community of Elie and Earlsferry for their future control and enjoyment.

This is the first step in a process which will revitalise an important iconic building into a vibrant hub and a multi-use space on the doorstep of the community.

Thanks are due to the Scottish Land Fund, Fife Council, and the many supporters and volunteers including the community of Elie and Earlsferry.

“Huge congratulations to Earlsferry Town Hall Ltd on their Scottish Land Fund award. As one of 29 groups across urban and rural Scotland sharing in £3.6 million of funding, they are now in a unique position to take control of land and property assets that will reap rewards for people now and for generations to come. I wish them every success as they take forward their exciting community ownership plans.” Scottish Land Fund Chairman, John Watt
